What is the Gospel? Paul answers this question in Romans 1:16, by saying that the Gospel (and specifically the Gospel of Christ) is the “Power of God for Salvation”. Although contemporary Christianity has designated the Gospel to the first four books of the New Testament; at My Glorious Days, we believe that the entire Bible, from Genesis to Revelations is the Gospel Story. All of it points to the Christ, talks about the Christ; and if you just stand in a scripture long enough to see its wonderful and marvelous hidden secrets, right there in its midst, you will surely find the Christ!
The Bible is marked with endless stories of ordinary men and women, who by seeking God and by following Him in simple faith and trust were able to have extraordinary experiences and to see a side of God which we still marvel at. Men like Jacob who said a simple prayer to God and had his requests answered in full. Women like Esther who went from being an ordinary orphan in exile to being Queen of the most powerful empire in her time. And on and on, the stories go of Abraham and Sarah, of Joseph, of David, of Ruth, of Hannah, of the 12 Apostles and of the early Church. Men and women, who in seeking God found a bottomless mine of treasures which continue to extend to us to this day.
These stories are not confined or relegated to Bible times. They are written for our encouragement and exhortation; to tell us that we too are called worthy by Him who showed Himself to all who came before us. And these stories are being repeated and replicated in the lives of millions of people who choose to seek the LORD. Who choose to have Faith in God, to take Him at His Word and to partake of all He has promised us in Christ Jesus.
My Glorious Days team would like to walk this journey with you. To share with you our lessons from the stories of old and other stories not found in the Bible. To show you the new hope and new mercies which are stored for us all in His Word. We do this with utmost reverence for the LORD Almighty, the creator of Heaven and Earth. And we proclaim above all else, that Jesus Christ is LORD and that He died for our sins, for our redemption and also for our deliverance from evil.
